Recently, I had the opportunity to join members of the CNG Focus Group for a Tour of CATA’s (Centre Area Transportation Authority) facility in State College. I was able to get quite a few nice photos from this event and thought I would use this blog post as an opportunity to share the experience.
It was just a few months back that I got my first real lesson in CNG (Compressed Natural Gas) while taking photos for the CNG Focus Group Education Day that was held at our headquarters in Williamsport, PA. It wasn’t long after that River Valley Transit announced it would be adding a CNG fueling station, and we offered them grant application assistance for the AFIG (Alternative Fuel Incentive Grant). Read the press release.
Around the same time, we were just finishing up development of www.cngfocusgroup.com which provided a great way for the community to learn about and submit letters of support for the project. In just a few short months, LDG’s CNG Focus Group has become an established platform for people of Central PA to learn more about the implementation process of CNG and its benefits.
CATA has proved to be an invaluable resource for Central Pennsylvania’s recent interest in CNG. Their hospitality as well as their experience and leadership in CNG fleet operations is highly appreciated by the CNG Focus Group and its members.
Visit www.cngfocusgroup.com to learn more about upcoming events and how compressed natural gas can benefit you, your company, your environment, and your economy.
