When is change good for an organization? When it offers more and better opportunities to those it seeks to serve. With that goal in mind, right now the LDG Ephrata office is in the midst of office-move turmoil. Packed, labeled boxes are everywhere, and there is the appropriate anxiety and anticipation of getting into a new office space.
The Ephrata office of LDG has solidified since the 2008 acquisition of Fisher Engineering, which brought the LDG name and brand to south-central PA. Jim Fisher, PE, founder of Fisher Engineering, continues on with LDG today as a Senior Project Manager, still serving many of the municipal clients that he’s worked with, some for over two decades. Our bridge structural and transportation design services have really taken off in the Ephrata office, and that team has grown, and our site design & land development services continue to serve clients in the Lancaster County area and beyond.
And now we find ourselves at a point of transition in Lancaster County, anticipating more growth in our future, and needing to move on from the historic, converted barn that has been our office for almost 3 years. This transition will make the LDG ‘Ephrata’ office into the LDG ‘Lititz’ office, with a move of about 10 miles from just west of Ephrata to just south of Lititz. Our ‘new’ space is in the Westfield Insurance building, and offers class A office space, all on one floor, with ample meeting space and room to grow.
We enjoyed the great aesthetics of having our office in the barn on Dawn Avenue in Ephrata, and now we’ll benefit from a physical space that promotes better teaming, collaboration and communication. With this kind of improved physical space as our office home, we’re confident we can better serve our clients, and more closely and professionally interact.
As we settle in over the next several weeks, we’ll have the chance to test out our new digs for collaboration and communication, and before long we’ll be having client meetings and interactions there as well. We’re confident this is a good change for LDG to be in Lititz. At the same time, there are two important things that have not changed: our commitment to client-centric service, and our loyalty to LDG’s core values. We think this is what makes us valuable to our clients and community.
It’s great to be in Lititz – stop in and see us when you have a chance!
